Heritage Creatives didn't start as Heritage Creatives.

It started long ago with a simple desire to understand the people and things that surround us. Founder Katy McWhirter's fascination with stories began in a small Mississippi town where her father owned a construction business and her mother stayed home with the children. In a family of introverts, stories were their greatest treasures, their countless evenings spent round the old oak table in the home her father had built from the ground up.  

The oversized bookcases framing the study held treasures gathered through time, with each family member contributing favorites. The home with filled beautiful antiques – not the rarified possessions of wealthy stock, but the primitive pieces used by similarly practical families that came before their own. It was in this atmosphere that her love for stories emerging from history first grew. Whether it was the unaccounted for gashes in the English pub table or the mysterious ending to a box of letters between lost lovers, Katy learned listened for the stories of well-worn possessions.

Heritage Creatives was born out of the belief that people connect with individuals, small businesses, nonprofits, and corporations when they have something to latch onto. All too often companies become fixated on their product or service while forgetting to bring  clients and employees along with them for the journey. Our work spans industries and time-periods, with a special focus on highlighting the unique heritage of every client we serve.
